The Ritual Candle
The Hour of Dusk
The candle for the moment the day is allowed to end
A candle being lit is a quiet announcement.
Not to the room. To yourself. That this hour — this one, now — belongs to you. That what came before it is allowed to be over.
SOLUMA's Ritual Candle is hand-poured in small batches from a coconut-soy wax blend, scented with a composition of Eastern botanical notes: aged sandalwood at the base, white tea through the middle, and a trace of cool cedarwood at the surface. The scent is not designed to fill a room. It is designed to be associated — over time, through repetition — with one specific transition: the day stepping back.
In Daoist thought, dusk is the hour when yang energy yields to yin — the day's momentum giving way to the evening's quieter nature. The candle does not create this shift. It marks it. That distinction matters. You do the work. The candle gives you something to do it with.
The vessel is matte ceramic in a deep neutral glaze. When the candle has burned through, the vessel remains. Use it as you choose.
Light it when you are ready for the day to end. Let the scent remind you that it has.
